Faithful preachers (those who know and faithfully proclaim what the Bible says), fellow Christians (if they are seeking real truth, as found in the Bible), prayer (when based on Bible truths), Church (if leading in Bible teachings and wisdom) … are helpful (no, necessary!). The Bible isn’t the end or entirety of the Christian religion, but it certainly is a key gauge and test.

Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.
