Life's Final Exam

Let’s listen in on a sample end-of-life interviewer’s questions and the interviewee’s (Sam, a professed Christian, in this case) answers; an observation that could potentially benefit us when “our time” comes and we are on the “hot seat!” It certainly wouldn’t hurt to give this some thought.

Not becoming intimately familiar with Jesus’ great teachings significantly minimizes our benefit of Him as the Ultimate Teacher and Intercessor, limiting the potentially very special blessings provided by His Words as a result of failing to highlight what He tells us initially in His Sermon on the Mount and most importantly its complementary prior two outlining chapters, Matthew 3 and 4, detailing His Willingness to adopt, protect, provide for, lead, anoint … us. In short, to save us from a shameful death to Glorification and Eternal Life with Him based on His Grace-Righteousness.

God’s written Word is very short considering it is ALL He tells us. Yes, He speaks to us through His Holy Spirit personally but always consistent with His written Word ~ meaning we can’t discern His speaking to us in Prayer and through life experiences personally if we are not regularly and consistently living by His written Word. Matthew 4:4

We and churches may not be held responsible for failing to master and not teach many parts of God’s Word, but can the same be said for Matthew 3–7 and the subsequent remaining four Gospels of Jesus’ teachings where He begins by not just saying but making “To fulfill all Righteousness” Matthew 3:15 a reality as must be the case for our eternal salvation?

For Jesus is our final and ultimate Judge in Life’s Final Exam ~ He has given us the answers to this exam. And He will give us the Grace-Faith, Grace-Power, Grace-Everything Else if we seek, listen to and follow Him.
